TIPS ON HOW TO MAKE LOTS OF TIPS!!!!! [̲̅$̲̅(̲̅ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°̲̅)̲̅$̲̅]

Tuesday, January 19th, 2016 *Night 10:43-1:04am

No matter what day your reading this I just want to say I hope you have a Great Rest Of Your Day!

(^_^)

Let me introduce the start of the rest of your happy day by sharing you one of the many fulfilling moments in my life. The story takes place in Ashley's Furniture Homestore where I currently work, but at this specific time that this story takes place; I wasn't working the office I was one of the warehouse managers not an actual "manager" but I managed the warehouse, hopefully that makes sense. Today was one of the busiest days I have ever seen the store in the last 4 months that I had been working there so far. The reason being that every thing was 45% to 80% OFF!!! This meant the busiest person in the store was going to be me!! The warehouse guy... the guy that hauls all the furniture (Flat Screen TVs, Recliners, Sofas, Bed Frames, Mattresses, Dinning Tables, Furniture Sectionals, TV Stand Entertainment Centers, ECT.) out of the store and into the cars of the customers with the help of a couple of dollies. There are only 3 warehouse managers that work at this specific Ashley Furniture Location. But ONLY 1 happened to be there that day. That single person happened to be me!

You might be asking yourself, well then how the hell was this at all a good day, it seems horrible?!? If you go ahead and read my Subway Blog first it'll give you a pretty good hint about one of the many reasons as to why this day was such a great day. One of the talents I discovered and tips and tricks I plan on passing to you, as you may have read in my Subway Blog; I really used that to my advantage today!

(Actually telling the story now). Each and every employee in the store has a radio to page (call people over the radio) people if they need any help with anything. Reasons that I would get paged would be to, take apart beds that customers had just bought off the show room floor and move those to the back and ready them to be picked up usually within about an hour. When the time came for the customers to pick up their furniture I would then Load up their cars or moving trucks. As well as occasionally helping a customer move a piece of furniture to another side of
the store to see if the furniture they made me move goes well with another set of furniture that they are interested in purchasing.

This 10hr shift was just one relentless cycle of un-building, moving, and loading.

Within about two hours of my shift I was sweating, I had some red color to my face from the workout I was getting running around the store lifting furniture non-stop. But I was enjoying it so much because I felt needed, wanted, and important! and all of the customers were all being so appreciative! I was getting so many complements from the customers, "I wish my son had the work ethic you do", "I bet you get super strong from this job hu?" "I mean look at those muscles" "Thanks for all your help". One very kind elderly lady said, "You have a bright future ahead of you, you will one day be very successful mark my words". One customer went up to my store manager and said, "I've never seen such great customer service in my entire life this young man has been very helpful and nice to talk with!". All of these complements were said to me plus many many many more. This made me so happy and content with myself!! I felt so proud and loved by all the people I had helped.

Only around two other times within those four months of working for this job had I ever gotten tips with load outs. But this day I got a total of $68 in tips. When I came back from my 30 minute break, their were many interesting surprises. As I was walking back to the warehouse to set down my energy drink. A customer stopped me and said EXCUSE ME!!! EXCUSE ME!!! SIR!! I turned around and this guy looked desperate he was telling me how his wife was pregnant and he needed my help desperately! He said he was willing to pay me good money.......NEW BLOG COMING SOON
